Media Expert, Dr. Lee Rother, Volunteers at the Owerri Digital Village.

Dr. Irving Lee Rother visited the Owerri Digital Village in March 2006. During his time in Owerri, Dr. Rother taught YTF students the importance of media education in their communities.

Students had an opportunity to learn about how to and produce personal independent videos that explore important issues in their community and in their lives.

Activities included learning to use technology tools such as Apple Ibooks and powerbooks, multimedia software like iMovie and PowerPoint, and recording devices such as a sony digital DV camcorder and digital tape recorders.

During Dr. Rother's visit to Nigeria, he also spent time with the TeenWorld program in Lagos, Nigeria.
