Clinton Global Initiative
Established in 2005 by President Bill Clinton, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, convenes global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. CGI Annual Meetings have brought together 190 sitting and former heads of state, more than 20 Nobel Prize laureates, and hundreds of leading CEOs, heads of foundations and NGOs, major philanthropists, and members of the media. To date, members of the CGI community have made more than 3,500 Commitments to Action, which have improved the lives of over 430 million people in more than 180 countries.
YTF was selected as a CGI member in 2016 for our Commitment to Action with girls, education and technology.
World Economic Forum
The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship was co-founded by Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, and his wife, Hilde. Since its inception in 2000, the Foundation has been identifying the world’s leading social entrepreneurs and involves the community of more than 200 award winners in advancing the field of social innovation in collaboration with corporate, government and academic stakeholders. Selected social entrepreneurs of the Schwab Foundation network participate in World Economic Forum events, thus providing unique opportunities for them to connect with business, political and media leaders.
YTF’s Njideka Harry was selected as a Schwab Foundation/WEF Social Entrepreneur in 2013 for the proven impact and scale of YTF Academy.
Ashoka
Ashoka is the largest network of social entrepreneurs with ground-breaking ideas and innovations in the world. Ashoka fellows pioneer the field of social entrepreneurship and are recognized for their efforts to improve the state of the world.
YTF’s Njideka Harry was selected as an Ashoka Fellow in 2012 for YTF’s groundbreaking work with Agric-P.O.W.E.R.
