Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF) is an international non profit working at the intersection of technology for education and entrepreneurship. Our clients are youth, ages 8-25, and women living primarily in low income communities and developing nations. YTF develops technology inspired programming in the U.S, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Colombia.
YTF is seeking a digital marketing strategist who will be responsible for managing and enhancing our digital channels and platforms (social media, websites, e-communications) for YTF. This position combines strategic and tactical expertise in developing and leading digital marketing and communications initiatives and campaigns. The right candidate will possess a strategic thinking, problem-solving mentality, strong digital online community and campaign organizing abilities with technical knowledge and sharp design/user interface skills. This position will educate, inspire and provoke people to make a difference through the click of a button.
Develop and implement an annual digital marketing and communications strategy.
Maintaining, expanding and coordinating YTF’s global presence in social media and websites (youthfortechnology.org, twitter, facebook, instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn).
Creating compelling posts and sharing real stories from YTF’s programs on social media.
Design infographics as an effective and entertaining way to present data and communicate our message in one simple image.
Work with other members of the Communications department to develop, maintain and implement a digital content strategy in support of key organizational initiatives positioning YTF’s programs, services and impact.
Ensure all content maintains YTF brand standards.
Manage and facilitate all aspects of YTF’s e-communication strategy including e-blast and e-newsletter (TechDrums).
Execute engagement strategy for YTF’s online network, run engagement program and online fundraising campaigns, manage community events and communication.
Work with internal stakeholders to develop digital marketing strategies (email campaigns, micro campaigns, etc).
A Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of professional experience in digital marketing, content management and organizational leadership. Proven experience engaging and growing consumer interest via digital channels. Understanding of and expertise in web optimization, analytics, marketing, communications, web design (Word Press) and creating multichannel user journeys to acquire, activate and retain supporters. Exceptional communications/interpersonal skills to clearly articulate ideas, frame challenges, highlight opportunities and offer solutions a must. Should be a self starter, highly flexible and a fast learner. Experience with online e-marketing tools (like Constant Contact, Mailchimp etc. a plus). Experience with paid digital media, including utilizing services such as Adwords, promoting YouTube videos, Facebook posts, and sponsored Tweets to drive key outcomes and goals a plus. Some knowledge of web and email design and production, HTML5 and CSS.
