In December 2007, YTF hosted 2 individuals from Cameroon, John and George.
The purpose of their visit was to learn about our work at the Owerri Digital Village with the intent of partnering with YTF to estabish the Ewelle Digital Village. John and Geoge spent time with YTF staff learning how to establish a community technology center. They learned about staffing, funding and infrastructure issues to consider.
During their time in Owerri, John and George coordinated a community development program in a local town, Umuagwo. They held focus groups with youth and women on HIV/AIDS and conflict resolution.
Now back in Cameroon, the duo are working with YTF to establish the Ewelle Digital Village. Stay tuned for progress and launch information from this center.
